Storm Warning Fatigue

We are staring into the teeth of Ike. Currently, it is sunny with a nice breeze. Ashley is on a bike ride with Tyler and Joel. Meanwhile, I'm replying to texts and emails that are asking why we didn't pack three boys into the truck so we could bunk up in a motel in Oklahoma until this monster blows through. The answer to that question is - we love local news coverage of hurricanes.

"hunker down"
"can you hear me Ron....Ron....Ron...it is really coming down out here"
"stick with us here at channel 9 because anything can happen"
"conditions are getting intense out here"

plus I wouldn't want to miss another explanation of what storm surge is.

We will post some pictures of Ike's fury.

You forgot the other reason you stayed: To use your new shotgun on anyone who tries to loot your food storage.

If Anderson Cooper doesn't report while treading water in Galveston, I have no faith in CNN.
